CRABMEAT CASSEROLE | |
1 stalk celery, chopped 1 c. onion, chopped 1/4 lb. butter 1/2 c. flour 1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk 2 egg yolks 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. red pepper 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 lb. crabmeat 1/2 lb. grated cheese Saute onion and celery in butter until wilted. Blend flour in well with mixture. Pour in milk, stirring constantly. Add egg, salt and peppers. Cook 5 minutes, stirring often. Mix crabmeat in and blend real good. Transfer to either 1 casserole dish or several individual dishes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until brown. |
