OLD FASHION BREAD PUDDING | |
2 c. dry bread cubes 4 c. scalded milk 3/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. salt 4 beaten eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. raisins (optional) Soak bread in scalded milk for 5 minutes. Add sugar, butter and salt. Slowly stir in eggs and vanilla and mix well. Stir in raisins if desired. Pour into a 2 quart ungreased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until firm. Serve warm with cream. Serves 8. |
