DINNER IN A DISH 
6 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, sliced
2 green peppers, sliced
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. corn, drained
4 med. tomatoes, sliced
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs

Saute onions and green peppers in 4 tablespoons of butter for 5 minutes. Add beef, salt and pepper. Cook over high heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Allow to stand 5 minutes. Mix in eggs. In a 1 1/2 quart greased casserole, spread 1 cup of corn. Spread half of the meat over corn. Place half of the tomatoes over the corn. Repeat the layer of corn, meat and tomatoes. Sprinkle with crumbs and dot with remaining butter. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
