CHOCOLATE FEATHER CAKE 
2/3 c. soft butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. ice water
2 1/2 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate sq.
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in melted chocolate. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Add to cream mixture, alternating with the ice water and ending with the flour mixture. Bake in two 9 inch waxed paper pans (flour pans). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
