PEAR CAKE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. canned pears, drained and chopped

Beat oil, sugar and eggs. Mix in flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Add vanilla. Fold in pears. Bake at 325 degrees in large cake pan, greased for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
