RUSSIAN DILL PICKLES 
Cucumbers
Onion
Garlic cloves
1 1/2 to 2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 to 2 c. water
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. pickling salt

Wash and cut cucumbers into chunks. In bottom of quart jar place 2 to 3 slices of onion, 1 clove of garlic and 1 head of dill. Pack in the cucumber chunks. Bring to boil the vinegar, water, sugar and salt. Pour over cucumbers. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Makes 2 quarts.
