DILL PICKLES 
1 c. pure vinegar
2 c. water
1/4 c. pickling salt
1 grape leaf
1 head of dill
1 garlic or small onion
3 or 4 pods of hot pepper

Makes 1 quart.

Wash cucumbers and pack in jar with dill, pepper, garlic, and grape leaf. Bring to a boil vinegar, salt and water. While boiling hard, pour over cucumbers and seal immediately. Take about 6 weeks to be real good.
