CABBAGE PIQUANT 
1 sm. onion
2 tbsp. salad oil or shortening
3 3/4 c. water
1 1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. cabbage, dehydrated
2 c. tomatoes, canned
1/8 tsp. vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
Pinch of pepper

Saute onion in salad oil or shortening until tender. Set aside for use later. Bring water, salt, and cabbage to a boil; cover; simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Drain. Combine onions with mixture and simmer for 15 minutes longer.
