BANANA CREAM PIE 
2 c. milk
1/3 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Scald milk. Mix and add dry ingredients, stirring constantly. Cook until smooth and thick. Beat yolks and combine with the custard. Cook 1 minute; add butter and vanilla; cool slightly. Line baked pastry shell with sliced bananas and pour custard over it. Top with meringue and/or whipped cream.
