COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. coconut flavoring
1 c. sweet milk
1 c. coconut

Cream sugar and Crisco on high speed 10 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well and add dry ingredients with milk; fold in coconut and flavoring. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes.

ICING:

1/2 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. white Karo syrup

Cook until thick and spread on cake. Sprinkle with coconut.
