HAM & CHEESE STRATA 
12 slices of bread
3/4 lb. sliced American cheese
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked & drained
3 c. chopped ham
6 slightly beaten eggs
3 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. each salt & dry mustard

Cut 12 doughnuts and holes from bread; set aside. Put the scraps of bread in bottom of greased 13"x9"x2" baking dish. Place cheese layer over bread. Add layer of broccoli; then cubed ham. Arrange doughnuts and holes on top. Combine rest of ingredients and pour over all. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, if desired, 5 minutes before end of baking. Let stand 10 minutes and cut into squares. This freezes well after cooking and can be reheated in microwave. Serves 8 to 10.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
