ORIENTAL POT STICKERS | |
1/2 lb. pork or chicken 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts 5 medium mushrooms, chopped 1 small onion 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 3 c. chicken broth 2 tbsp. sesame oil 1 pkg. Gyoza or won ton wraps Mix first 6 ingredients. Place 1 teaspoon in center of each wrapper. Moisten edges with water; press together. Flatten bottom and make each one stand upright. Warm 1 teaspoon oil in skillet. Stand as many Pot Stickers as will fit in pan. Sauté until browned on bottom. Set these aside and brown remaining Pot Stickers. Add 1 1/2 cups chicken broth to pan. Cover pan and simmer 15 minutes. Repeat with remainder. Serve as an appetizer or main course dipped into soy sauce. One can use any leftover meat. Substitute crunchy celery for water chestnuts. Add ginger to spice up the taste. Be creative! |
