COCONUT POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/4 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs, beaten
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 1/2 - 2 c. coconut

Mix shortening and sugar. Beat well. Beat eggs well in small bowl with mixer. Set aside. Mix butter, Crisco and sugar then slowly add beaten eggs. Add to shortening and sugar mixture. Alternately add flour and milk. Add flavorings; fold in coconut. Bake in 10 inch tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Note: Prepare pan by greasing lightly with Crisco. Sprinkle lightly with sugar.
