COCONUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. Crisco
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs
1 c. coconut

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beat well. Add flour mixture with milk and vanilla. Beat well. Add coconut. Pour into greased and floured Angel food cake pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Cool and remove from cake pan.
