BEST AND EASIEST ROLLS 
1/2 c. butter
5 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg, well beaten
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. cold water
Dash of salt
3 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add boiling water and let cool. Add egg. Dissolve yeast in cold water; add salt with flour. Mix all together, mix and refrigerate overnight or longer.

Divide dough into two balls. Roll into circles 1/4 inch thick by 12 inches. Cut into 16 pie shaped wedges. Roll up, beginning at rounded edges. Place on pan with point underneath. Let rise in warm place about 3 hours. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Can add any herb to dough if you like.
