BUTTER POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 5 lg. eggs 3 c. plain sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract Cream butter and shortening until smooth. Add eggs one at a time. Alternately dry ingredients with 1 cup of milk into butter mixture. Add both extracts. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Bake in large tube pan, greased and floured at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool for 30 minutes. |
