PINTO BEANS 
5 c. dry pinto beans
3 cloves of garlic
1 lg. onion
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt to taste

Soak beans overnight in a 4 to 5 quart pot. Cut garlic cloves in thin slivers and onion in large chunks. Drop in pot with beans. Cook until beans are tender. 1 to 2 hours. Add cayenne pepper and salt during last 20 minutes of cooking.
