MUSHROOM BEEF AND GRAVY 
2 lbs. round steak (cut into thin pieces)
2 c. mushrooms
1 sm. onion
2 pkgs. brown gravy mix
1 stick butter
Seasoned salt

Cook meat in 1/2 cup of shortening. Chop mushrooms, slice onions, then cook mushrooms and onion in butter. Drain shortening off meat.

Mix meat, mushrooms and onion with brown gravy mix and seasoned salt in a large pot. Add water and seasoned salt to your taste. Cook slow 30 minutes. Serve with rice.
