EASY ROLLS 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. water
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. shortening
4 c. all-purpose flour

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Heat milk to lukewarm. Add to yeast mixture together with sugar, salt, shortening and 1 cup flour. Beat with egg beater for a few minutes, then add remaining flour. Knead until smooth. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double (about 30 minutes). Punch down. Shape into rolls. Place on greased pan. Let rise again until double. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
