OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
2-3 lb. country style ribs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 sm. onion
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar

Trim excess fat from ribs. Place in large shallow baking pan in single layer. For easier handling measure seasonings and spices and mix together. Sprinkle over ribs on both sides. Slice onion over top and pour tomato sauce over all. Add water and sprinkle sugar over sauce. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender. Baste often and turn ribs several times during cooking.

Add more water if necessary, but sauce should be thick enough to cling to meat when done. Approximately 4 servings.
