PARTY POTATOES 
8 med. potatoes
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
8 oz. commercial sour cream
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 c. freeze dried chives

Peel potatoes and cut into 1 inch cubes. Put in a 2 quart glass bowl with 1/3 cup of water and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave 12-14 minutes on high. Stir after 6 minutes. When done whip potatoes, add cream, cheese, butter, salt, garlic salt and chives. Put in microwave 3-4 minutes on high, then 8 minutes at medium.

Grated cheese, crumbled bacon or paprika may be added on top for flavor and color. Can be made a day ahead and refrigerated then heated in microwave.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
