DOUGHNUTS 
4 c. flour (plain)
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Cream shortening; add sugar slowly and cream until fluffy. Stir in well beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, stirring well after each addition. Fry in hot oil.
