JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cooking oil
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3 lg. apples, peeled and slice

Mix oil and sugar together. Beat eggs well and add to sugar and oil mixture. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Add to first mixture, then add vanilla. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for about 50 minutes at 375 degrees.
