2 (9 oz.) cartons Cool whip 1 (12 oz.) Angel food cake 3 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry jello 1 large bag frozen strawberries (no sugar) 3 c. boiling water Dissolve in a large bowl the jello in boiling water. Slice strawberries and add them to jello; let them thaw in jello for about 10 minutes. Refrigerate the mixture until it starts to gel, approximately 25 minutes. Break angel food cake into small chunks. Taking several pieces, coat them with the jello mixture and line a 9 x 13 inch pan with them. Add the remaining pieces of cake to the jello mixture and pour the whole thing over the cake in the pan. Refrigerate for half an hour. Take out of refrigerator, frost with cool whip, refrigerate again for 2 hours or more. |
