DOUGHNUTS 
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 3/4 c. sweet milk
3 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. lard
Flour to make a soft dough

Beat eggs to light foam, add sugar, beat 5 minutes. Add salt, melted lard, and milk and nutmeg and flour to make a soft dough. Handle gently, roll out lightly, cut all at one time. Keep turning while frying in lard or oil.
