ELLA'S SHRIMP GUMBO 
2 lb. cooked & cleaned shrimp
2 pt. canned or 3 lb. fresh tomatoes
3/4 lb. fresh okra (may be canned or frozen)
8 lg. strips of bacon
2 lg. onions
1 tbsp. butter
1 heaping tsp. flour
1 heaping tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

Wash, peel and chop tomatoes. Wash okra and cut into small pieces. Cook until done. Fry bacon until crisp, reserving grease. Brown onion in 1/2 of grease. Add to okra and tomatoes. Brown flour in other 1/2 of grease and add to okra mixture. Just before serving, add salt, butter and bacon (broken into small pieces). Then add shrimp. Bring to boil and serve. (Good served over rice.)
