DOUBLE QUICK DINNER ROLLS 
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. shortening

In bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir sugar, half of flour and salt into yeast. Beat with spoon until smooth. Add egg and shortening. Beat in rest of flour until smooth. Cover bowl with cloth. Let rise about 30 minutes or longer in warm place.

Grease 12 large muffin cups. Stir down raised dough. Spoon into muffin cups, filling 1/2 full. Again, let rise about 30 minutes.

Bake at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
