TATER TOT CASSEROLE | |
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1 onion, thinly sliced salt and pepper to taste 1 can cream of celery soup 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Tater Tots (store brand is fine) Lightly brown ground beef and drain. Place browned meat in bottom of greased shallow 2-quart baking dish. Spread onion rings over top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spread soup over onion rings. Cover with Tater Tots. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until hot. Makes 6 servings. Variations: Substitute ground turkey, ground chicken, tuna fish or mixed vegetables for the ground beef. Add grated cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Swiss all work well). Substitute any cream soup (mushroom, chicken) for the cream of celery. Add chopped fresh mushrooms or canned corn before the soup. Omit the onions if you don't like them. |
