TEXAS "BROWNIES" | |
1 c. sifted flour Pinch of salt 3 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. butter 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate and 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/4 tsp. almond 1 c. chopped pecans Grease 12 inch muffin cups with butter. Set aside. Sift flour, salt and cocoa together. Set aside. Place butter, unsweetened and semi-sweet chocolates in saucepan. Melt over moderate heat, stirring frequently. Remove pan from heat. Stir in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla, almond and sifted dry ingredients. Stir in nuts. Ladle batter into muffin cups. Fill each cup full. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted in center comes out mostly clean. Cool on rack. Yields 12 muffin size "Brownies". |
