GRILLED SWEET ONIONS 
2 lg. sweet onions, 3 inches or more in diameter, peeled and sliced about 1/2 inch thick
1/2 c. olive oil
Chopped fresh marjoram or dried, to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400. Place onions in a 9x13 inch baking dish in a single layer. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with marjoram, salt and pepper. Bake uncovered for about 25 minutes. (This makes onions very sweet.) Place onions on a charcoal grill and cook 5 minutes on one side, then turn and cook 2 minutes. Remove carefully with a spatula.
