2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 onion, chopped 1 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce 2 tsp. hot pepper sauce 1 tsp. sugar 3 1/2 lbs. chicken wings, tips removed 1 bunch celery, cut into strips 1/2 c. bottled blue cheese or ranch salad dressing Preheat broiler, in skillet saute garlic and onion in oil 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add next 3 ingredients. Heat to boiling; simmer 5 minutes. Meanwhile coat broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange wings on broiler rack. Broil 5 to 6 inches form heat source 7 minutes. Brush with half tomato mixture. Broil 5 minutes. Turn wings and brush with remaining tomato mixture. Broil 12 minutes or until cooked through. To serve line platter with celery sticks. Place wings on top. Serve with dressing. 4 servings. |
