DANISH PASTRY APPLE BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
1 egg yolk
Milk
1 c. corn flakes
8 - 10 apples, sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg white
1 tsp. cinnamon
Raisins, optional

In bowl, cut flour and Crisco. Beat egg yolk in measuring cup; add enough milk to make 2/3 cup liquid. Mix well. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture. Roll 1/2 dough to 17 x 12 rectangle. Line cookie sheet with it. Sprinkle with corn flakes (and raisins if you want them); top with sliced apples. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Roll out remaining dough; cover apples. Seal edges. Cut slits for steam. Beat egg white until frothy. Brush over crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. While still warm, drizzle with glaze.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
Warm water
