MAPLE DANISH PASTRY | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. water Mix like pie crust. Pat into 2 long strips 12 x 3 on ungreased cookie sheet 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. maple flavoring 1 c. flour 3 eggs Bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Add flavoring. Remove from heat, add flour all at once and stir until well mixed. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. Spread mixture on pastry strips. Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost while warm and sprinkle with nuts. FROSTING: 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring 1-2 tbsp. milk, just enough to thin to correct spreading consistency |
