QUICK APPLE STRUDEL 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. butter
3 eggs
1 tbsp. vinegar
Apples, cut in quarters & sliced thinly

CRUMBS FOR FILLING:

8 c. vanilla cookies, crushed fine
6 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon & mace
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Rind of 2 lemons
1 c. white raisins, optional

Mix above ingredients, cut the dough into 4 parts. Make 1 strudel at a time. Chill dough for easier handling. Roll out a section of dough thin. Brush with melted butter. Lay sliced apples all the same way top down. Cover whole circle. Put crumb filling over apples. Sprinkle sparingly lemon juice and butter over crumbs; roll from top down. Fold sides upward to seal brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Test for doneness.
