CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6-8 sweet potatoes
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. water

Cut potatoes in half. Mix all ingredients except butter in skillet. Heat to boil, drop in potatoes, turn to coat all over. Cover and reduce heat to cook slowly until potatoes are tender (approximately 1 hour). Turn potatoes after. Add butter when potatoes are done.
