1/2 c. soft butter 2/3 c. sugar 3 egg yolks 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. nonpareils Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla together. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into creamed mixture and stir making a smooth dough. Shape dough into small balls. Poke your thumb in center of each ball making a hole. Shape into small rings. Dip each ring in nonpareils. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets in 375 degree oven until lightly browned, about 10-12 minutes. Cool before storing. Makes 2 1/2 dozen rings. |
