1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks and add vanilla then flour. Spread in cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and add 1 package chocolate chips. Return to oven for 1 minute or so until chips are melted and spread over cookies. Sprinkle with nuts and cut into squares.
