ENGLISH TOFFEE BARS 
1/2 lb. butter (2 cubes)
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped pecans

Mix all together, spread on ungreased cookie sheet. Pat down. Take egg white and beat until foamy then spread on top of cookie mixture. Pat pecans on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut and remove immediately.
