ENGLISH TOFFEE BARS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. pecan halves
Toffee Topping (recipe follows)
1 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine flour, sugar and butter; mix until fine crumbs form. (A few large crumbs may remain.) Press into ungreased 13x9 pan. Sprinkle with pecans. Drizzle Toffee Topping evenly over pecans. Bake 20-22 minutes or until topping is bubbly and golden. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cool before cutting.

TOFFEE TOPPING:

2/3 c. butter
1/3 c. packed brown sugar

Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Let boil 30 seconds. Use immediately.
