CORNMEAL MUFFINS 
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Mix cornmeal, flour baking powder, salt, sugar together. Mix well, add milk and melted shortening, stir only enough to blend. Put in oiled muffin tins, filling 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
