FROSTING 
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 stick butter, softened
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract or lemon juice
3-4 tbsp. milk

Place butter in a saucepan over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Mix sugar and butter together gradually in a small bowl. Add lemon juice or vanilla extract, salt, and milk. Continue mixing until smooth.

Frosting should be easy to spread. If too thick, add a few drops more milk. If too thin, add a little more sugar. If you like, you can color the frosting with a few drops of food coloring.
