RAISIN AND NUT FUDGE SQUARES 
2/3 c. sifted flour
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1/3 c. shortening
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. seedless raisins

Sift first 4 ingredients together. In top of double boiler, melt shortening and chocolate over hot water. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Add milk and flour mixture. Blend in nuts and raisins.

Turn into well greased lightly floured 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 32 squares.
