STRATFORD SLAW DRESSING 
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. each pepper, paprika, and mustard to taste
1 c. canned milk

Combine in order given, stirring after each addition. Boil until thick. Cool; thin with cream or sour cream, if desired.
