EASY MIXER BREAD | |
2 1/2 c. lukewarm water 2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. non-fat dry milk 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1/3 c. oil 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour (bread flour works best) Dissolve yeast in warm water. In mixing bowl, combine yeast, dry milk, sugar, salt, oil, and 3 1/4 cups flour. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, gradually add remaining flour to form stiff dough. Cover; let rise 15 minutes. Toss dough on floured surface until no longer sticky. Knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Shape dough into 12 x 6 inch rectangle; roll up tightly. Seal edges and end. Let rise until double in size. Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 2 loaves. |
