BOJANGLES BISCUITS | |
2 c. self rising flour 2 tsp. baking powder Dash of salt 2 tsp. confectioners' sugar 6 tbsp. Crisco 1 c. buttermilk Melted butter, for brushing top after first 10 minutes in oven. Sift first four ingredients into bowl. Stir in Crisco and milk. Mix well. Form into biscuits or roll and cut as you prefer. Place on greased pan and PRESS VERY FLAT. Bake at 350 to 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and brush tops with melted butter. Return to oven and continue baking 10 minutes or until done. Will be a pretty golden brown. |
