PICKLE RELISH 
2 qt. cucumbers, unpeeled
1 qt. onions
4 sour apples, unpeeled
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 qt. vinegar
4 oz. mustard seed
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. turmeric

Grind together cucumbers, onion, apples and peppers. Let stand overnight in salt water (coarse salt). Drain well. Add sugar, vinegar (if vinegar is strong, use 1 quart vinegar and add water) and mustard seed. Let boil 15 minutes or until pickles are done. Thicken with flour and turmeric. Can while hot.
