Round steak 1 chopped onion 6 bacon slices 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 sm. bay leaf 1 c. water Sprinkle entire cut of round steak (bone removed) with salt and pepper. Put sliced onion over meat, then cover with bacon slices. Roll up meat and tie with string. Brown meat in a small amount of Crisco. Add 1 cup water, bay leaf, bouillon cubes and rolled meat in baking dish. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees until done. Can be cooked in the crock pot also. |
