TEXAS HASH 
1 lb. hamburger (lean)
4 med. onions, chopped
1 lg. clove garlic, crushed or (garlic salt)
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 tsp. chili powder
1 3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. catsup

In a large skillet, saute hamburger, onions, green pepper and garlic in oil over medium heat until hamburger is browned and veggies are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat until rice is tender (about 20 minutes). Stir often to prevent sticking. Serves 4.
