APPLE PUDDING CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. crisco oil
3 med. apples
1/2 c. pecans
1 c. flour
1/3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

SAUCE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Make the sauce first and let it be cooking while you make the cake. Combine all ingredients for the sauce and cook in double boiler until it boils and thickens. Thin with evaporated milk if needed. Preparation for the cake. Combine all ingredients and pour in 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Pour hot sauce over each individual piece of cake. Serves 9.
