POTATO CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1-2 c. crushed potato chips

Cream shortening with brown and white sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add sifted flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until flour disappears. Stir in crushed potato chips. Add 1 cup of chopped nuts if desired. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
